Speaker of the House John Boehner Tells Obama to Get Screwed... Politely

Rarely do we sing the praises of Speaker Boehner, but when the White House announced today that President Obama wished to address a joint session of Congress on September 7th (the same night as the GOP Presidential Debate at the Reagan Library), we were expecting the speaker to cave in to the President's wishes. His official ...

Honoring the Passing of a Patriot: Rest in Peace, Jane Jamison

It’s with great regret the we have to inform our readers of the passing of our good friend and fellow patriot, Jane Jamison.  Jane was the founder and lead writer for Uncoverage.net, one of the only outlets from conservative news on the entire west coast. MA Senate Candidate: Retool US Economy, Soros-Funded Global Reporting Initiative

Now granted, we’ve been more critical than most of our Junior Senator Scott Brown, however with no primary challenger and a laundry list of liberals coming out of the woodwork to run against him, we’ll definitely have some fun covering this race before we hold our respective noses in the voting booth. One of the numerous liberals hoping to replace ...

Sheriff Candidate Runs on No Evictions Platform - Send Me Your Church Donations

Meet Cheri Honkala, who’s taking an entirely new approach to running for Sheriff in Philadelphia.  Normally a candidate for Sheriff runs on their experience in law enforcement, their state’s legislature or the military.  Honkala is instead running on her experience as a former homeless person and a mother.  She also is the national coordinator for the ...

Just About The Most Nauseating Ron Paul Video To Date

Every once and a while, a video comes along that exemplifies the discontent I feel towards a candidate and their supporters.  Now granted, this video from Aimee Allen was made for the 2008 election, but it’s content is truly timeless. This video references every stereotype associated to Ron Paul supporters, starting a revolution, isolationism, touching on ...

Speaker of the House John Boehner Tells Obama to Get Screwed… Politely

Rarely do we sing the praises of Speaker Boehner, but when the White House announced today that President Obama wished to address a joint session of Congress on September 7th (the same night as the GOP Presidential Debate at the Reagan Library), we were expecting the speaker to cave in to the President’s wishes.

His official response to the White House, seen below, is not what we expected and is certainly more polite than than the average American would have been.  Reading the writing on the wall, Obama has agreed to Boehner’s proposal and has rescheduled his address to Congress for September 8th.

It’s worth noting this puts Obama’s address to Congress in direct competition with the first regular season NFL game.  It’s doubtful that Obama will ask the commissioner to reschedule the game.  Perhaps Obama is realizing once and for all that what’s left of his political capital is waning.

While details of Jane’s passing are being kept private, Stacy McCain reports:

Dell Hill from Uncoverage.net called today to tell me that the blog’s founder, Jane Jamison, died Saturday. Dell told me — I hadn’t previously known — that her name wasn’t actually Jane Jamison, but that this was a pseudonym she used to keep her life as a political commentator separate from the liberal world in which she might actually need to apply for a job.

She lived in the San Francisco Bay area, and was regular a radio guest onJaz McKay’s popular afternoon program on KNZR 1560 AM in Bakersfield. She once got me onto Jaz’s show as a guest, which was pretty cool. Jane was also a contributor at Right Wing News, where John Hawkins has a brief remembrance.

We had the privilege of getting to know Jane during the excitement of the Scott Brown special election here in Massachusetts; Jane tapped us for a local perspective (back when Scott Brown was someone worth getting excited about).   Since then, we’d stayed close compatriots, sharing contacts and stories.

Ron Paul Blames America, Again, For 9/11 Attacks (A History Lesson)

It’s one thing to see an isolationist and perennial candidate pretend he’s a noninterventionalist for the sake of sugarcoating his beliefs for mainstream consumption, it’s another to continually misinterpret history for the sake of blaming America for Islamic fundamentalism.

We all can forgive candidates for having the occasional slip of the tongue or gaff on the campaign trail.  As fun as those are, they’re understandable… unlike the years that Ron Paul has been intellectually dishonest in regards to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  His misrepresentations only serve his core belief that, in the war on terror, America is at fault.

Flashback to 2007 when then candidate (his second attempt to be president) Ron Paul dropped these pearls of wisdom:

Now here in 2011 Paul reaffirms his beliefs at a campaign stop in Iowa.  As the Desmoines Register reports:

MA Senate Candidate: Retool US Economy, Soros-Funded “Global Reporting Initiative”

Now granted, we’ve been more critical than most of our Junior Senator Scott Brown, however with no primary challenger and a laundry list of liberals coming out of the woodwork to run against him, we’ll definitely have some fun covering this race before we hold our respective noses in the voting booth.

One of the numerous liberals hoping to replace Brown is Bob Massie, a former candidate for Massachusetts’ Lieutenant Governor back in 1994.  While he spent almost 20 years out of the political arena, Massie founded the “Global Reporting Initiative“, a not-for-profit in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

GRI’s describes themselves on their site as:

Vision

A sustainable global economy where organizations manage their economic, environmental, social and governance performance and impacts responsibly, and report transparently.

Mission

To make sustainability reporting standard practice by providing guidance and support to organizations.

Massie himself speaks about the goals of the Global Reporting Initiative in a video on his campaign youtube channel,
